Central Athletics Programme for the Week 18 April to 24 April 2016

Dear Members,

Find below the program this week :

Monday 18 April : Rest and Recovery

Tuesday 19 April : Starting PROMPTLY at 6:30pm at Newlands Cricket Stadium. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced

Wednesday 20 April : – Rest and Recovery (Optional – Gym strengthening and conditioning)

Option 2 : Time Trial, starting PROMPTLY at 6:00pm at Rondebosch Common. There are 2 options, the 2,5km and 5km trial. You must however register to receive a number in order to record your time. So please try and arrive 10min earlier. This will be additional training/conditioning in order to improve your race times.

Thursday 21 April: Starting PROMPTLY at 6:30pm at Newlands Cricket Stadium. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.

Friday 22 April: Rest and Recovery (Optional – Gym strengthening and conditioning)

Saturday 23 April :

Weskus Marathon: 5km Fun Run, 10km, 21.1km and 42.2km road race

Start Times : – 08:30(5km), 7:30am(10km), 7:15am(21.1km) and 7:00(42.2km)
Cost: – R20(5km), R40(10km), R70(21.1km) and R135(42.2km) Licensed only
Late Entries are only accepted on race day for the 5km and 10km runs at Langebaan Country Estate, all distances start from the LCE, except for the Marathon runners, which start from Tzaarsbank (buses to transport runners to marathon start on race day)

Optional – Starting at 8am – 5km Park Run at Rondebosch Common, Green Point Park, Constantia Green belt and many other venues. Please visit the website http://www.parkrun.co.za  to register and for more info.
