Programme for the week | Monday 02 November to Sunday 08 November

Dear Runners

Well done to all who participated at the past weeks events  as challenging as they were due to unforeseen circumstances.

We look forward to the week ahead, find the programme below and we welcome back  Adnaan Mohamed, who’ll be joining us at training as of Tuesday evening.

 

Monday 02 November – Rest and Recovery

 

Tuesday 03 November: Starting PROMPTLY at 6:30pm at Newlands Cricket Stadium. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Strength and Speed Training on grass at WPCC fields. Preferably wear Trail shoes but not essential.

 

Wednesday 04 November: Rest and Recovery (Optional – Gym strengthening and conditioning)

 

Thursday 05 November: Starting PROMPTLY at 6:30pm at Newlands Cricket Stadium. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Speed Work loops at WPCC on grass. Focusing on working faster than race pace for short bursts. Preferably wear Trail shoes but not essential.

 

Friday 06 November: Rest and Recovery (Optional – Gym strengthening and conditioning)

 

Saturday 07 November:

Option for Beginners (8am) – 5km Park Run at Rondebosch Common, Green Point Park, Constantia Green belt and many other venues. Please visit the website http://www.parkrun.co.za to register and for more info.

West Coast Athletics Club Half Marathon/ Fun Run (6:00am/ 6:45am)

Eden on the Bay Shopping Centre, Big Bay Blouberg

Entry Fee: 21km R70 (Licensed). Fun Run R30eden
